Automation Engineer
As part of continued growth, our client is seeking a skilled Automation Engineer to support the development, implementation, and commissioning of complex industrial automation systems. This role is hands‑on and technically demanding, with involvement across the full project lifecycle from software development through to commissioning in industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software for industrial PLC platforms (Siemens, Schneider, Beckhoff).
- Configure advanced PLC architectures and manage digital interfaces with microcontrollers.
- Design, integrate, and commission supervisory systems including SCADA and HMI solutions.
- Participate in system integration and commissioning activities in complex and demanding industrial environments.
- Produce and maintain high-quality technical documentation related to automation systems.
Technical Scope and Applications
- Control of refrigeration management and power conversion systems.
- Design, implementation, and optimization of control loops.
- Development of applications for discontinuous and batch‑type processes.
- Command and control of electric motors and drives.
- Communication and interfacing with other industrial systems and subsystems.
- Degree in automation, electrical engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in industrial automation development.
- Strong proficiency with industrial automation platforms and tools (Siemens, Schneider, Beckhoff).
- Solid programming experience using Ladder, Grafcet, Structured Text (ST), or equivalent.
- Good understanding of industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, TCP/IP, and Profibus.
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively within multi‑disciplinary project teams.
- Experience with safety automation systems.
- Exposure to Simulink-based code generation for PLC applications.
