Role Overview
We are seeking a Propulsion System Integration Expert to join the Engineering Directorate – Propulsion & Air Systems team. The successful candidate will lead and support propulsion system projects, validate technical dossiers, and manage integration activities for the aircraft’s propulsion system, including propeller, turbine engine, nacelle ventilation and fire detection/extinguishing.
Responsibilities
- Lead or support propulsion system projects and design changes.
- Investigate in‑service events and propose mitigation and corrective actions.
- Validate propulsion team technical deliverables (specifications, SOW, certification program, means of compliance, concessions).
- Encourage cross‑sharing of information within the propulsion team.
- Contribute to the development and learning of collaborators (product knowledge, processes, methods and tools).
- Lead the update of the propulsion system technology & tool roadmap.
- Support the propulsion team in setting schedules and budgets for these activities.
- Meet operators to explain ATR technical decisions.
- Manage technical alignment with propulsion system suppliers and partners on complex subjects.
- Participate in international regulation working groups.
- Contribute to the development and visibility of the ATR Expert community.
Qualifications
- Engineering degree with a specialization in aeronautics, aircraft systems or propulsion.
- 10+ years of experience in propulsion system design, development or integration.
- Good knowledge of CS/FAR 25, Part 21 and V&V processes.
- Team spirit, collaboration, openness and pro‑activity.
- Rigor and ability to deliver clear and synthetic analyses.
- Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
- Fluency in English and French (Italian is a plus).
- Prepared to take off with ATR to connect communities and provide the best products and support to customers.
