Head of Ethics & Compliance, Export Control and Chief Compliance Officer – Corporate Secretary Directorate
Job Overview
ATR, the world’s leading manufacturer of regional turboprops, is looking for an experienced Head of Ethics & Compliance and Export Control to join the Corporate Secretary Directorate. The role reports to Rahul Domergue and will lead a team of five employees.
Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain the highest ethics and compliance standards across ATR and its subsidiaries.
- Oversee the management of Export Control, Ethics & Compliance matters, ensuring compliance with national and international laws.
- Develop, initiate, maintain, and revise policies and procedures for the compliance program.
- Collaborate with other directorates (Commercial, Procurement, Program, Finance, etc.) to manage compliance and export control issues.
- Consult with outside counsels on sensitive compliance and export control matters.
- Respond to alleged violations, evaluate or recommend investigative procedures, and conduct them; oversee a uniform handling system for such violations.
- Provide regular reports to the General Counsel, the ATR Ethics & Compliance Committee, and ATR Excom on compliance operations.
- Identify potential compliance vulnerabilities and risks; develop and implement corrective action plans.
- Maintain an effective compliance communication program, promoting a Speak‑up culture and awareness of the Code of Conduct.
- Maintain and strengthen a compliance training program for all ATR staff and managers.
- Analyze information on suppliers for Export Control classification.
- Prepare, apply for, and follow export licenses necessary to support ATR’s commercial objectives.
- Manage relationships with administrations in charge of Export Control and maintain licenses.
- Build and update tools for managing Export Control information and awareness.
- Organize training for ATR staff on Export Control issues.
- Analyze compliance reports submitted by directorates via the compliance IT tool.
- Assess requests regarding sponsorships, donations, gifts, hospitality, conflicts of interest, and business support initiatives.
- Build and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, stakeholders, and administrations in charge of Ethics & Compliance.
- Develop and update directives and processes linked to Ethics & Compliance.
- Train ATR staff on ethics and compliance matters with an impact on ATR activities.
Qualifications
- Degree in Law/Compliance, Management, or Business Administration.
- At least 7 years of experience in Export Control and/or Ethics & Compliance.
- Strong management experience and demonstrated leadership abilities.
- Solution‑finding mindset, good interpersonal skills, and strong conversational abilities.
- Knowledge and practice of laws and regulations on Export Control, Ethics & Compliance (aeronautical industry is a plus).
- Strong business acumen and pragmatic approach.
- Ability to handle diverse files and matters with strong organisational and priority‑setting skills.
