Job Description
We invite you to join ATR as an apprentice in our Hydromechanical Systems design office in Blagnac. The role is open to students currently pursuing a mechanical or aeronautical engineering degree, with fluency in English and French.
Responsibilities
- Deep dive into the ATR flight controls architecture.
- Integrate and standardise existing tools that simulate flight control kinematics.
- Develop methods to validate calculations such as pilot forces and hinge moments, in collaboration with the flight physics department.
- For future developments:
- Elaborate and evaluate trade‑off architectures to optimise aircraft configuration, considering hydraulic, electrical, and mass impacts using a concurrent engineering automated tool.
- Assess the pros and cons of the proposed tool to inform flight control architecture decisions.
Qualifications
- Studying in mechanical or aeronautical engineering.
- Knowledge of mechanical and kinematic computations, system architecture, concurrent engineering, and dynamic simulation.
- Curious, with strong analytical and summarising skills, and the ability to work across disciplines.
- Fluency in French and English.
