Associate Transaction Services

We are delighted to offer you the opportunity to form part of the founding team of Interpath Advisory France. We are looking for a talented Associate to join in our Transaction Services team in Paris and deliver Transaction services projects for an exciting mix of clients including top tier Private Equity and Corporate clients.

As an associate, you would be a vital member of the team, working closely with our Managing Directors, Directors, Managers and Senior Associates in a truly entrepreneurial work environment, setting up and developing a leading Deal Advisory practice in France alongside bright and energetic people.

You will work across the entire deal life cycle in a hands-on role, including both buy-side and sell-side work, helping clients to deliver successful transactions working closely alongside our corporate finance and debt advisory colleagues across the Interpath network.

On top of that, you will be encouraged to participate in the day-to-day life of our growing practice in Paris and help us build our brand reputation in the French market. Key Accountabilities:

- Participating in the drafting of Financial Due Diligence reports including but not limited to:

• Historical performance analysis
• Quality of Earnings: Helping the client identify one-off income costs which should not be considered within underlying earnings.
• Net Working Capital "NWC": Identify the drivers of the evolution of NWC over the historical period and establish a NWC benchmark (peg)
• Identification of debt like items from review of balance sheet and off-balance sheet arrangements
• Forecasts: Analytical skills to critically assess a target's forecast and identify potential risks and upsides, based on historical trends, sales pipeline etc
• Summary of findings and recommendations around the key financial and business issues related to the transaction

- Participating in meetings /conference calls with clients/target company management and serve as a secondary point of contact with respect to day-to-day FDD execution matters

Requirements

Education:

• Top tier business / engineering school or university (Bac +5) with a focus on accounting, business, finance, or economics

Essential Experience and Job Requirements:

• Preliminary Experience (Internship or one year experience equivalent) in Audit, Transaction Services, Controlling, M&A or Private equity
• Entrepreneurial mindset, team working and communication skills
• Out-of-the box thinking and ability to analyse businesses at pace
• Strong attention to detail with a logical and methodical approach
• Strong work ethic and ability to adapt to new challenges and ideas in a collaborative environment
• Project management, Excel and report writing skills
• Fluent english written and spoken
