About the role

Contentsquare is seeking an entrepreneurial lawyer to join our France headquarters in Paris. You will report to the EMEA Commercial and Product Legal Director and serve as a core member of the regional commercial legal team. This role focuses on building our legal product function while managing high-stakes commercial negotiations for our global SaaS platform.

What you'll do

• Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial documents, including SaaS agreements, NDAs, order forms, partner agreements, and service level agreements.
• Provide legal counsel to product managers, developers, and designers throughout the entire product lifecycle.
• Collaborate with sales and customer success departments to foster growth and build internal trust.
• Manage complex contractual topics such as intellectual property, liability limitations, indemnification, privacy, security, and AI standards.
• Create and maintain legal playbooks, standard templates, and efficient workflows using AI tools.
• Coordinate with finance, sales enablement, and other internal stakeholders to ensure global corporate alignment.
• Train sales and operational staff on compliance, contractual standards, and internal processes.
• Lead or contribute to additional legal projects as required by the department.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in global licensing within a late-stage startup or early-stage public SaaS company.
• Proven ability to negotiate complex agreements and work directly with internal sales teams and external clients.
• Strong understanding of data privacy law, licensing, and current SaaS industry standards.
• Ability to operate effectively in a global, fast-moving business environment.
• Professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Tech-savvy mindset with a genuine interest in how SaaS solutions function.
