Within Lazard’s Paris office and our IB Real Estate team, Lazard Immobilier, we are looking for an Associate to join the team. The Associate will be fully integrated into a team of 10 people.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the execution of complex Real Estate transactions, which may include: single-asset and portfolios acquisition and disposal mandates, as well as buy-side or sell-side M&A mandates in France and cross-borders.
• Manage and mentor Analysts and Interns, and oversee various work streams including detailed review and checking of work, ensuring work quality and professional development within the team
• Support all stages of the transaction process – from inception to closing – including financial modelling and analysis, preparation of teasers, investment memoranda and management presentations, due diligence coordination, and support negotiations with counterparties
• Develop, maintain and review detailed financial models to assess acquisition opportunities, underwriting assumptions, cash flow projections, valuation outputs and sensitivity analyses.
• Conduct strategic advisory work including comprehensive market research and corporate / property-level analysis
• Contribute to deal origination by preparing client pitches and marketing materials, and by identifying new market opportunities through rigorous industry monitoring

Qualifications

• A Master Degree from a top tier Business School
• 3 to 5 years of experience in the financial sector (investment banking, private equity, transaction services, corporate finance, etc.)
• Prior Real Estate experience at an advisory firm or investment bank preferred
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and financial modelling skills with advanced Excel proficiency
• Solid foundations in finance, accounting, and valuation with critical problem-solving ability
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint and Excel), as well as real estate databases
• Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills; Native-level French and fluent professional English are mandatory
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in an extremely fast-paced environment in order to meet critical deadlines
• Highly motivated, proactive, and team-oriented with strong work ethic, integrity and resilience
