The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced commercial professional to join Lonza’s Drug Product Services (DPS) Business Unit as an EMEA Sales Associate Director. The role focuses on driving new business acquisition and expanding existing customer relationships across the EMEA region. Working closely with Business Development, Global Sales, Account Management and Marketing teams, you will promote Lonza’s drug product development and manufacturing capabilities, identify new opportunities, and support the conversion of prospects into clinical and commercial programmes. You will develop and execute territory sales plans, build relationships with stakeholders ranging from technical experts to C‑suite executives, represent Lonza at industry events, and provide valuable market insights to shape business strategy. This role is ideal for someone with significant experience in biologics, CDMO services or drug product development who thrives in a customer‑facing environment and is passionate about delivering growth in a dynamic, global organisation.
Key Requirement
Applicants must have experience in aseptic filling and fill‑finish services, including liquid vials, lyophilised vials, cartridges, and PFS/syringes.

Salary
- Belgium: €99,000 – €138,600
- Italy: €81,750 – €114,450
- France: €76,500 – €107,100
- Germany: €90,000 – €126,000
- Netherlands: €95,250 – €133,350
What You Will Do
- Drive new business opportunities for the DPS BU across the EMEA region.
- Identify and develop strategic relationships within target accounts—from technical stakeholders to executive leadership.
- Build a deep understanding of the DPS market and customer landscape to differentiate Lonza’s services from competitors.
- Analyse market trends and customer data to identify growth opportunities and inform go‑to‑market strategies.
- Lead or support outreach initiatives (e.g., marketing campaigns, SME‑driven presentations) to increase brand visibility and establish Lonza as a leader in biologics drug product services.
- Stay informed on regional biotech/pharma ecosystems and the CDMO competitive landscape.
- Collaborate across internal functions to ensure alignment and support for key opportunities within your territory.
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in a life sciences discipline (e.g., Biochemistry, Chemistry, Molecular Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences) or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of commercial experience in the CDMO or pharmaceutical industry.
- Fluent written and spoken English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Strong ability to navigate complex matrix organisations and build effective internal networks to support regional sales efforts.
- Proven track record in sales of aseptic filling and fill‑finish services, including liquid vials, lyophilised vials, cartridges, and PFS/syringes.
- Experience selling to a broad customer base—from start‑ups to large pharmaceutical companies is essential.
- Familiarity with CRM tools, particularly Salesforce, is preferred.
