The Role
We are seeking a highly accomplished and strategic Associate Director to join our dedicated Luxury Client Team. This pivotal role focuses on leading and managing all media planning and activation for one of our major global clients within the luxury sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for orchestrating comprehensive media strategies across international markets, ensuring brand consistency, driving innovation, and delivering measurable results. You will serve as a central point of contact, coordinating across various stakeholders, both internal and external, to deliver world‑class media solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Annual Pre‑planning: Lead and facilitate the comprehensive annual media planning cycle, setting strategic objectives and frameworks for the client’s global presence.
- Regional Annual Strategy: Develop and refine region‑specific annual media strategies, ensuring strong alignment with global directives while addressing unique local market dynamics and opportunities.
- Consolidated Campaigns Overview: Provide strategic oversight and consolidated reporting for all active campaigns across diverse markets, offering actionable insights.
- Wave Campaign Recommendation & Planning: Spearhead the recommendation and planning of impactful "wave" campaigns specifically tailored for regionalised markets, maximizing relevance and effectiveness.
- Consolidated Reports & Annual Business Reviews: Prepare and present robust consolidated performance reports and annual business reviews to key stakeholders, outlining achievements, challenges, and future strategic recommendations.
- Activation Management with Local Buyers: Oversee and coordinate media activation efforts in collaboration with local market media buyers, ensuring seamless execution and adherence to strategic guidelines.
- Media Plans Management: Lead the development and ongoing management of comprehensive media plans, working closely with local buyers and leveraging expertise from global media experts/buyers to optimise performance.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Experience: 6-9 years of progressive experience in media, acquired either agency or client‑side, with a strong preference for international exposure.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in French is essential, alongside business proficiency in English. Proficiency in other languages is highly valued.
- Industry Passion: A demonstrated passion for luxury brands and a keen understanding of global media trends and their impact.
- Media Expertise: In‑depth knowledge of both online and offline media levers/channels, including their strategic orchestration, effective implementation, and measurement.
- Communication Skills: Excellent writing and presentation skills, capable of articulating complex strategies and insights clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
- Analytical Acumen: A strong analytical, synthesis‑driven, and rigorous mindset/approach to problem‑solving, data interpretation, and strategic development.
- Work Ethic: Proven curiosity, autonomy, and proactivity in managing projects, identifying opportunities, and driving initiatives forward.
- Organisational Prowess: Exceptional organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail are paramount for managing complex global campaigns.
