About the Role
JLL Debt & Structured Finance is expanding our 40-strong European team and seeking an Associate to join our collaborative, high-performing environment working directly with senior stakeholders in the team.

Day-to-Day Activities
- Financial Modelling: Associates will be required to have strong modelling competencies, working with analysts to model detailed unlevered and levered scenarios to align with the base case property business plan, as well as individual financing structures – underwriting is primarily performed in Microsoft Excel.
- Financing Memoranda: Oversee and help with the preparation of comprehensive 30-100 page financing presentations summarising opportunities, collateral, business plans, financial metrics.
- Transaction Marketing: Manage marketing of the opportunity, coordinate lender Q&A and draft thoughtful responses, and track market feedback.
- Loan Execution Analysis: Create detailed quote matrices and perform quantitative analysis on financing options through comparative modelling.
- New Mandate Origination: Outside of live mandates, associates play an integral role in preparing detailed RFP responses and pitch decks to assist the directors in securing new mandates – these documents, along with financing memoranda, are typically created in Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Internal Projects: Lastly, there will be occasional projects related to specific sectors, locations or clients that Associates will help organise and lead – these are less common than transaction-specific tasks, but will occasionally be included in day-to-day responsibilities.
Requirements
- Fluency in Business French and English.
- A degree in Real Estate, Banking & Finance, Economics or Business Administration from a reputable University (or equivalent).
- 2+ years of previous experience in Real Estate Investment Banking, Lending, Debt Advisory, Loan Sales, Banking Syndication Team or other relevant real estate financial/analytical roles.
- High-level analytical skills and problem-solving ability.
- Excellent Financial Modelling Skills.
- Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- An inquisitive mindset and eagerness to learn.
- A self-starter who takes initiative, demonstrates good time management and is organised.
- A collaborative mindset; valuing being part of a high-performing team.
- Ability to communicate and build relationships both with your colleagues and our clients.
