Job Summary
The Associate, Client Services, PvB role is to deliver consistent and high-quality service to Private Banking clients. The incumbent’s mandate is to facilitate a smooth working relationship of Front Office teams with support functions. Compliance with all applicable money‑laundering prevention procedures is required, including highlighting suspicious activities or behaviour of clients and staff. The role ensures full compliance with regulations, Group policies and guidelines, mitigates risks, protects the bank, and conducts business in a compliance‑conscious manner, alerting to potential money‑laundering and other undesirable transactions during and after client onboarding.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver consistent, high‑quality service to Private Banking clients.
- Facilitate a smooth working relationship of Front Office teams with support functions.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable money‑laundering prevention procedures and highlight suspicious activities/behaviour of clients and staff.
- Highlight, mitigate and protect the bank against credit, legal, documentation, re‑petition and other risks.
- Provide comprehensive client support services to Team Leads/Relationship Managers for a broad range of banking and investment transactions.
- Provide concise and relevant information flow and execute all client transactional and administrative needs accurately and on a timely basis.
- Handle and resolve day‑to‑day queries from clients on transactional activity, operations, systems and account re‑balancing processes.
- Support Team Leads/Relationship Managers in completing sales documentation, KYC diligence and inputting information into systems.
- Assist in preparing business credit applications, financial review documentation and other customer correspondence.
- Support and follow‑up on customer service issues and report or elevate complaints in accordance with established procedures.
- Ensure client documents and reporting comply with internal process standards.
- Maintain awareness of and adherence to policy and procedures such as credit policy and operational procedures.
- Lead by example, build an appropriate culture and values, and develop professional skills.
- Identify, assess, monitor, control and mitigate risks posed by Relationship Manager activities.
- Lead the Local Client Services Team to achieve conduct principles and uphold the highest standards of ethics.
- Collaborate with stakeholders including Market Heads, Relationship Managers, Team Leaders, and personnel from PvB COO teams, compliance, legal, operational risk, back‑office operations and technology teams.
- Embed the bank’s brand and values across Private Banking and perform other responsibilities as assigned under Group, Country, Business or Functional policies and procedures.
Skills and Experience
- Knowledge of financial products and services.
- Relevant experience in client service or back‑office functions (exact years not specified).
- Professional qualifications and certifications (details required).
Qualifications
- RNF license required (obtained both CACS Paper 1 and 2 certifications).
- HKMA Relevant Individual Type 1.
