Freelance Assistant Project Manager – Construction / Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

I’m currently supporting a pharmaceutical organisation looking for an experienced Assistant Project Manager to support an ongoing construction and manufacturing project at their site in Strasbourg.

The consultant will support the Project Manager across project execution, scheduling, action tracking and contractor coordination, while ensuring industrial site constraints and associated risks are considered throughout project activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Project Manager with day-to-day project coordination and follow-up
• Maintain and update project schedules using Microsoft Project
• Track project actions, milestones and outstanding activities
• Support construction project execution and qualification phases
• Integrate industrial environment constraints and associated risks into project activities
• Support the preparation and issuing of hot work permits / Permis de Feu
• Monitor and coordinate subcontractors onsite
• Support follow-up of contractor activities and ensure actions remain on track

Key Requirements:

• Previous project coordination / Assistant Project Manager experience within an industrial, pharmaceutical or construction environment
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Project
• Good understanding of construction project execution and qualification phases
• Experience working within an industrial environment and understanding associated risks
• Experience coordinating and monitoring subcontractors
• Strong project tracking and organisational skills
• Available to work 5 days per week onsite in Strasbourg
