About the Role
As an Underwriting Associate Alternant(e), you will play a vital role in supporting our Paris-based underwriting team, ensuring smooth and accurate policy administration while contributing to meaningful process improvement projects. You'll be at the intersection of client service, data management, and operational excellence — developing skills that will set the foundation for a successful career in insurance or business.
Key Responsibilities
Policy Administration: Prepare and process invoices, policies, certificates, and all other contractual documentation with precision and care Data Management: Compile, sort, review, and verify data accuracy using source documents; detect discrepancies and initiate timely corrections System Maintenance: Keep information up to date across internal systems and tools to always ensure data integrity Client Interaction: Engage regularly with external stakeholders including brokers and insureds, delivering an outstanding level of service Accounting Follow-Up: Support premium chasing, data corrections, and financial monitoring activities Process Improvement: Collaborate on the development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures, contributing ideas to enhance tools and workflows Project Involvement: Participate in cross-functional initiatives that drive operational efficiency and innovation
About the Team
You will be joining the Operations EMEA team within Swiss Re Corporate Solutions' Paris office— a vibrant group of 11 experienced professionals from diverse backgrounds, united by a shared commitment to excellence. The team is the backbone of the Paris Corporate Solutions office, acting as the key point of contact for business administration both internally and externally. Known for their collaborative spirit and client-centric approach, the team ensures that brokers, insureds, and internal partners experience a seamless and high-quality service at every touchpoint. You will report directly to the Head of Operations France, based in Paris.

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:
Currently Enrolled in Relevant Studies: Actively pursuing a degree in insurance, business administration, finance, or a related field, with eligibility to undertake an alternance contract French & English Proficiency: Strong written and verbal communication skills in both French and English are essential for daily interactions with internal and external stakeholders Microsoft Office Skills: Solid working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook to support documentation, reporting, and communication tasks

The compensation for this alternance position is determined in accordance with the French legal framework applicable to apprenticeship and professionalization contracts. The salary is calculated based on criteria defined by law, including the apprentice's age, the level of qualification being prepared, and the year of the contract. Details will be discussed transparently during the recruitment process.
Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week.
