Artificial Intelligence Engineer

Role: Tech Lead / Hands-on Lead AI Software Engineer

Location: Paris, Hybrid

We are currently partnered with a team developing advanced AI models that are making personalised treatments a reality at scale. They are looking to hire a hands-on AI/Data Tech Lead to work closely with the CTO and help drive the architecture, delivery, and growth of their platform.

• Design, build, and scale data-intensive systems and AI/ML-driven platforms handling complex scientific datasets
• Architect and optimise data pipelines, backend systems, and analytical workflows
• Contribute to the development of a next-generation platform for scientific and biomedical data analysis , ensuring scalability and reliability
• Collaborate closely with data scientists, engineers, and product teams to bring models into production
• Take ownership of technical decisions, system design, and engineering best practices
• Contribute to team leadership, mentoring, and project delivery

Background within the Healthtech/Biomedical/Biotech/Life Sciences Space preffered

Skills:

• Strong experience with AI/ML systems in production environments
• Backend: Python (FastAPI, Airflow or similar)
• Architecture: Experience designing scalable, distributed systems and complex data workflows
• Databases & Infrastructure: PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Snowflake or similar technologies
• Experience working with large-scale, data-intensive systems
• Exposure to event-driven architectures or modern data platforms is a plus

Education & Experience:

• 6+ years experience in AI/ML software engineering or data engineering
• Proven experience leading technical projects or teams
• Strong track record of building and scaling production-grade data or AI systems
• Experience working in cross-functional environments (engineering, data, product)
