Fixed-term appointment with an initial duration of 4 years, potentially extendable to 8 years.

Description

You will be embedded within the ArianeGroup exploitation team in Vernon, responsible for all Ariane 6 exploitation activities related to ArianeGroup SaS. The role reports to the Ariane 6 Exploitation Monitoring Manager in the Ariane Programme Department.

Ariane 6 exploitation monitoring focuses on managing risks associated with reliable and affordable access to space in Europe, and identifying strategies to reduce those risks through accompaniment contracts.

Duties

• Serve as the technical interface for the embedded team co‑located with industry, ensuring an efficient link to the ESA Oversight team at HQ Dausmenil.
• Lead Ariane 6 technical risk assessment for ESA, anticipating and assessing technical risks and identifying mitigation actions.
• Contribute to close interaction between the embedded team, the back office, and the Oversight team.
• Lead independent technical activities (analyses, inspections) to identify potential technical project risks.
• Share final results of verification activities with the ArianeGroup industrial project team.
• Propose corrective actions to the Oversight team if required, before they are agreed with ArianeGroup.

Technical Competencies

Education and Professional Experience

Master’s degree in an engineering discipline plus 5 years of relevant professional experience.

• Summarise complex topics clearly and solve day‑to‑day operational challenges.
