ARGOS project V&V architect
Job Purpose
Participating in project development activities, the V&V Architect role consists in defining and technically structuring the Verification & Validation activities of the project, ensuring a correct setup of the V&V approach, methods, test coverage and technical evidence.
The V&V Architect reports functionally to the Project Verification & Validation Manager and contributes to the delivery of a system compliant with project contractual, functional, operational, performance and safety requirements , without holding overall QCD or managerial responsibility .
Responsibilities
- Support the preparation and organization of V&V activities kick‑off meetings (collect necessary technical inputs, identify constraints, propose planning assumptions)
- Contribute to the definition of the V&V Plan , under the responsibility of the Project V&V Manager
- Identify hardware, software, tools and test means needs in coordination with Tools, Simulation and Test teams
Test Coverage & Technical Consistency
- Prepare and/or review test strategies and procedures to ensure adequate coverage of project requirements (functional, operational, performance and safety)
- Ensure technical consistency between:
- requirements
- test procedures
- test execution
- expected and recorded results
- Support impact analysis activities to define non‑regression strategies and test campaign priorities
V&V Execution Support
- Lead and perform verification activities
- Support and technically guide the execution of V&V activities, including:
- integration tests
- correspondence/interface tests
- functional validation tests
- operation and performance tests
- Ensure that test execution evidence is properly collected, structured and usable for V&V justification
- Support analysis of non‑conformities and contributions to root‑cause investigation with design teams
Reporting & Interfaces
- Contribute to the preparation of V&V deliverables (test descriptions, test reports, technical summaries, inputs to global V&V report)
- Support the Project V&V Manager for:
- consolidation of schedules
- preparation of the Global Verification & Validation Report
- Communicate progress and technical status according to project and/or department processes
Team Contribution
- Provide technical coordination and guidance to V&V contributors during factory or lab activities
- Participate in technical animations and working sessions (no hierarchical responsibility)
Profile
- Experience: 5+ years in Verification & Validation or system testing activities
- Significant experience in testing of industrial, complex or safety‑constrained systems
- Previous exposure to similar projects or signalling systems is a strong advantage
- Strong analytical skills, ability to structure, synthesize and technically argue
- Ability to work in multidisciplinary environments
