Area Service Technician – Germany
Education
Diploma: Bachelor's or Master's Degree or proven experience.
Position Overview
TLD, a French company (part of the Alvest Group) operating in an international environment, is a leader in the design, assembly, distribution and after‑sales service of ground support equipment (GSE). Our products are used in airports all over the world. We develop innovative products (autonomous, hybrid, electric and sustainable vehicles) and contribute to reducing the environmental footprint of the aviation industry. We are members of the ‘Solar Impulse’ foundation and of the United Nations ‘Global Compact’ initiative, which aims to promote Corporate Social Responsibility. This role is based in Germany and reports to the Customer Service Team Leader.
Responsibilities
- Delivery and commissioning of equipment.
- On‑site interventions at customer locations in response to warranty requests.
- Troubleshooting and repair activities.
- Providing technical expertise and support.
- User training and first‑level maintenance for customers.
- Activity‑related reporting (intervention reports and closure, customer feedback, etc.).
- Application of service bulletins.
Qualifications
- Higher education qualification in maintenance or electrical engineering.
- At least 5 years of experience in an industrial environment.
- Solid technical and troubleshooting skills with knowledge of mechanics, electrical engineering, hydraulics, automation (CANbus preferred), and refrigeration / air conditioning.
- Strong sense of customer service and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in both English and Dutch.
- Extensive travel required, most of the time from Monday to Friday, throughout the country.
Training
We will support you with training on our products and tools. Training will take place in our European factories (France, Belgium and the UK).
