Overview

As we continue to deliver cutting‑edge technology and new ideas, we are looking for an Area Sales Manager – West Africa to join our organisation. Reporting to the Sales Director – Africa of our Consumer Care business, you will drive growth strategy in North African countries.

Who We’re Looking For:

• 5 to 7 years of sales experience in Personal Care, Beauty or Pharma ingredients industries.
• Chemical ingredients sales background preferred (Chemist/Engineering background beneficial).
• Strong pipeline management skills and ability to contribute to the Croda CC / LS Business strategy for the region.
• Good technical knowledge to discuss main points with customers.
• Degree qualified with prior sales, account management or distributor management experience.
• Willing to travel (50%).
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to build strong relationships with internal networks and distributors.
• Entrepreneurial, highly self‑motivated, and passionate about delivering customer‑driven solutions and identifying commercial improvements.
• Able to work independently while being a good team player.
• Fluent in French and English.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Own the development of the customer portfolio for West Africa – identify, generate and manage projects.
• Build, maintain and expand relationships with accounts and distributors in the defined locations.
• Collaborate closely with sector teams to ensure commercial strategy aligns with market needs.
• Manage the existing sales pipeline, coordinating projects and development work with customers.
• Develop new business opportunities across focus areas and growth platforms.
• Achieve the sales budget, targeted margin and growth objectives.
• Help define the 1‑3 year strategy for market areas and communicate plans to relevant parties.
• Prioritise territories and routes to market; support identification of new trends and markets that impact future performance.
• Participate in trade fairs as a visitor or exhibitor.
