Area Sales Manager - Africa

About the Opportunity: The Area Sales Manager - Africa will be based in France and responsible for developing the market in Africa. This role will drive revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and establishing a strong commercial footprint in key African markets. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of the African business landscape, a proven track record in international sales, and the ability to navigate complex, multi‑market environments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the annual plan and budget, as well as monthly forecasts and the resulting actions in coordination with the Supervisor.
• Manage a country manager in Kenya.
• Provide after‑sales support of customers in cooperation with the distributors.
• Coordinate service in the area.
• Assist with the installation of equipment.
• Reach out to potential customers (direct sales).
• Support distributors in all sales activities.
• Plan visits to both distributors and customers in Africa: About 80% of customer visits are direct visits, about 20% together with distributors' sales staff.
• Organize and implement marketing activities to improve distributor‑customer relations.
• Build and maintain a network of users/customers.
• Visit trade fairs and conferences.
• Maintain the CRM system.
• Hold presentations, support and implementation of customer training.
• Participate in sales meetings.

Qualifications

• At least a higher professional education (e.g. Higher Laboratory Education).
• Minimum 3 years of sales experience and commercial/entrepreneurial skills.
• Technical knowledge is an advantage.
• Fluency in French and English (spoken and written).
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Software package.
• Possession of a Driving License B and willingness to travel extensively.
