Your Responsibilities

• Store Team Leadership & Development: You lead, train, and support store teams across your region, motivating them to achieve and exceed sales targets.
• Travel & Brand Representation: You travel regularly within your assigned countries to coach, train, and support store teams. You act as a brand ambassador for Birkenstock and ensure a consistent brand experience across all stores.
• Retail Expansion, Store Openings & Recruiting: During a strong growth phase, you support and drive new Birkenstock store openings across your assigned countries, including the recruitment of Store Managers and key store roles in close collaboration with HR, ensuring a smooth launch and full operational readiness.
• Financial Oversight: You maintain a strong overview of financial performance and cost structures, ensuring transparency and a clear understanding of the current business status.
• Strategic Communication: You create impactful presentations and communicate effectively with key stakeholders, providing updates on the Retail Europe strategy and key initiatives.
• Stakeholder Management & Leadership: As part of the Europe DTC Management team, you collaborate closely with key functions including Retail Operations, HR, DTC Buying, Finance, and Country Leads. You report directly to the Director Retail Europe and lead a team of more than 10 Store Managers.

Your Experience and Competencies

• Experience & Expertise: More than 3 years of professional experience in Area Management, with strong exposure to retail transformation, expansion projects, and the implementation of omnichannel processes.
• Analytical Skills: Strong understanding of relevant KPIs and data-driven decision-making, with the ability to create targeted analyses, reports, and decision papers.
• Leadership & Coaching: An empathetic and motivating leader with proven people leadership and organizational skills, a hands‑on mindset, and the ability to foster sustainable team growth.
• Communication & Cultural Competence: Excellent communication skills combined with strong intercultural awareness.
• Language Skills: Fluent in French and English; Spanish is an advantage.
• Willingness to Travel: High willingness to travel within the assigned region.
