Job Description

Do you want to make supply chains more transparent and sustainable? Curious about traceability, certifications, and real environmental impact? Ready to learn by doing in a global team? If so, we have an apprenticeship that might be of interest to you.

We are looking for a Traceability & Compliance Assistant (Apprentice) to join our Global Sustainability team. This role supports Salomon’s Sustainability & Product Compliance initiatives across our Apparel & Bags, Footwear, and Winter Sports Equipment business units. You will contribute to supply chain traceability and compliance projects, tools, and processes, helping ensure reliable and structured sustainability data across our supply chain.

Traceability & Certifications

  • Collect, enter and update traceability information from internal teams and external suppliers in traceability tools, spreadsheets, or internal systems.
  • Check that data is complete and clearly documented, or flag missing or unclear information to the team.
  • Support, where needed, collection and organization of supplier documentation (questionnaires, declarations, certificates) by filing documents following internal structure and naming rules and tracking document status and validity dates.
  • Support the preparation of internal traceability project reviews or external audits.
  • Support material certification projects.
  • Track certified materials and related documents and check that sustainability or material claims are backed by documentation.
  • Assist in preparing evidence for reporting, compliance or auditing purposes.

Compliance Support

  • Support operationally the coordination of compliance projects.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying recurring issues (data gaps, missing documents), sharing observations with the team and helping on improvement actions.

What this apprenticeship will bring you

  • Hands‑on experience in supply chain traceability and compliance.
  • Direct involvement with supplier data, documentation, and certifications.
  • Experience supporting audits, reporting, and compliance projects.
  • Exposure to sustainability data management across multiple product categories.
  • Collaboration with global sustainability, product, and supply chain teams.

Qualifications

Education

  • Currently pursuing or recently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Studies, Supply Chain, Product Compliance or a related field.
  • Strong interest in sustainability, traceability, and product compliance within the sports or apparel industry.
  • Knowledge or coursework related to textiles, footwear, sporting goods, or supply chains is a strong plus.

Technical Skills

  • Comfortable working with basic data tasks (collecting, entering, checking information).
  • Interested in learning traceability tools and using Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Able to upload and organize documents such as certificates or supplier forms.
  • Basic understanding or willingness to learn about supply chains, materials, or sustainability topics.

Soft Skills

  • Well organized and careful with details.
  • Ready to learn and work with new tools and systems.
  • Comfortable working with different teams and asking questions when needed.
  • Motivated, curious, and eager to learn about sustainability and compliance.

Languages

  • Fluent in English is required.
  • French is preferred but not mandatory.

  • Starting Date: September 2026.
  • Duration: 24 months.
  • Location: Annecy, France.
  • Work Visa: Mandatory.
