The team you will be part of

Our Business Group is a leader in wireless mobility networks and associated services. With more than 3,500 partner families essential for 5G we have a strong 5G portfolio and are a front runner in open and virtualized radio access networks (O-RAN and vRAN). As an apprentice Applied R&D Engineer, you will embark on a two‑year program designed to build expertise in data architecture, AI development, cloud deployment, and data governance. You will contribute to real‑world projects, including generative AI tools, cloud‑based data solutions, and advanced data integration frameworks. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands‑on experience while developing skills in leadership, project management, and cutting‑edge technologies.

How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn

• Assist in building and supervising data architectures, including real‑time data engineering, data lakes, and integration frameworks.
• Contribute to projects involving machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, and generative AI.
• Support the automation and deployment of data solutions on cloud platforms, including continuous integration and MLOps/DataOps practices.
• Stay updated with advancements in big data frameworks, relational and NoSQL databases, and AI technologies to incorporate best practices into solutions.
• Participate in implementing strategies for data governance, security, and compliance with data regulations.
• Work with cross‑functional teams to address business challenges using data‑driven approaches.
• Gain experience in managing data projects and leading teams effectively.

Key Skills And Experience

• Currently enrolled in a Master’s program in Data Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, or a related field.
• Knowledge of real‑time data engineering, big data frameworks, relational and NoSQL databases, and data visualization tools.
• Familiarity with machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, and generative AI techniques.
• Understanding of cloud platforms, MLOps/DataOps, and infrastructure orchestration.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and the capability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment and present findings clearly.
• Interest in developing leadership and project management skills.
• Passion for learning and adapting to new technologies and methodologies.
