Our Business Group is a leader in wireless mobility networks and associated services. With more than 3,500 patent families essential for 5G we have a strong 5G portfolio and are a front runner in open and virtualized radio access networks (O-RAN and vRAN). Nokia is committed to innovation and technology leadership across mobile, fixed and cloud networks.

How You Will Contribute and What You Will Learn

  • As part of the Radio Access Network R&D L2 SW team in Massy, you will develop software features of Nokia 5G/6G base stations delivered worldwide.
  • Contribute to the development of these features within a team for the L2 layer (packet scheduler) and work in Agile/Scrum mode, coached by a tutor.
  • Ramp‑up on radio protocols and C++ during several months.
  • Perform coding tasks associated to L2 features assigned to your team, including unitary tests, code reviews and component tests.
  • Be responsible for your deliveries in a continuous integration environment (GIT, GERRIT, Jenkins, Zuul). AI assistants help on daily tasks.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Education in an engineering school specializing in telecommunications and/or programming.
  • Interest in radio communication protocols.
  • Basic knowledge of C++.
  • Interest in AI tools adoption and good use of prompt engineering.
  • Good English level and strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ready to work in a team in daily and close collaboration.
