Apprentice - Junior Cost Controller - Store Planning Europe (F/H)

The Junior Cost Controller will support the Store Planning Team on cost management matters, data analysis on CAPEX and store planning project management topics. The position requires a construction background. It's a unique opportunity to experience accounting and project management in a construction environment working with accountants, cost managers and architects.

Key Accountabilities

Cost Management

• Supporting cost managers and project managers in the following activities:
• Requesting quotations from different suppliers.
• Procurement and tendering processes for various projects.
• Raising POs/POIs in our store planning system.
• Leading communication between cost managers and local accountants across Europe.
• Tracking invoices on a monthly basis by sending invoices to accounting teams for payment processing and monitoring payment status.

Audit

• Supporting Cost Managers with New Vendor creations
• Ensuring respect of the Source to Pay Procurement Process in Europe through proper New Vendor Creations
• Leading reporting routines & implementing good practices across Europe.

Data Collection, Analyse & Ad Hoc

• Work on a master database for CAPEX Cost control in Europe: Data collection, validation and analysis.
• Support with the redaction of the paper introduction to suppliers (supplier accounting format)
• Preparation of benchmarks based on recent projects

Director Support - Store Planning Project Management (internal)

• Ensuring weekly meetings with the cost manager to define the weekly to-do list, based on where support is most needed.
• Ensuring that all invoices in Europe are paid within 30 days, or at least that major delays leading to legal disputes are avoided, by cross-checking with the accounting team.

Qualifications

Required

Student enrolled in a Building or Architectural Engineering, Project Management, Cost Management or equivalent program.

• Excel - Advanced or Intermediate and open to learn at advanced level.
• Interest in construction

Preferred

• French and/or Italian and/or German fluent
• A first experience in construction and or in the luxury industry is a plus.
