Apprentice Internal Auditor

Job Description

Internal audit is one of the four key functions defined by the Solvency 2 Directive. Reporting directly to General Management, internal audit ensures the management of the company’s risks. The management is organized around a CoDir (Director, managers) and the Audit team (Audit leader and auditors).

Responsibilities

1. Delivery of the Audit Plan – participate in interviews with auditees, conduct or support audit testing for the area in scope, analyze internal control procedures, propose remedial actions, draft audit deliverables, perform data analytics using data mining software (IDEA) and ensure data quality.
2. Participate in monitoring the implementation of remedial actions, evaluate evidence during issue follow‑up, keep a positive collaborative relationship with the business and ensure timely information.

Preferred Experience

• MSC or MBA from a Business School including Insurance and Finance skills.
• Professional or fluent English proficiency.

Audit Skills

• Knowledge and ability to evaluate and enhance internal control processes and to perform risk assessment & execute audits.
• Familiarity with application of audit tools and processes; knowledge of audit methodology.
• Understanding of the main functions of insurance and ability to discuss with various departments on different issues; good written and oral communication skills.

Additional Requirements

• Good knowledge of computers and advanced command of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Access).
• Curious, organized, autonomous, meticulous, good interpersonal skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of the Insurance sector (processes, practices, tools, etc.) and the regulatory environment (Solvency II, GDPR, etc.).
