Getting a Flying Start

As an Applied AI Engineer , you'll turn innovative AI ideas into secure, scalable production solutions. Working alongside software engineers, product managers, data specialists and business stakeholders, you'll design and build AI applications that solve complex business challenges and accelerate Nexans' digital transformation.

From Generative AI and AI Agents to cloud-native applications and intelligent digital products, you'll play a key role in shaping how AI is embedded across our business.

How You Make an Impact

• Design, develop and deploy production-ready AI applications using Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI Agent technologies.
• Partner with business teams to transform high-value use cases into scalable digital products that deliver measurable business outcomes.
• Build secure, cloud-native AI solutions using modern software engineering practices, APIs and microservices.
• Deploy and maintain AI applications through CI/CD pipelines, monitoring and cloud platforms to ensure reliability, scalability and performance.
• Explore emerging AI technologies, lead Proofs of Concept and contribute to Nexans' evolving AI roadmap and engineering best practices.

Your Starting Points

We're looking for curious, innovative engineers who are passionate about applying AI to real-world business problems.

• Degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Data Science or a related discipline.
• Experience developing software using Python and modern application development frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI , Large Language Models (LLMs) or AI-powered applications.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS .
• Experience working with CI/CD, APIs, Git and Agile delivery methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.
• Excellent communication skills and a passion for continuous learning.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Fabric or Azure Databricks.
• Knowledge of AI Agents, RAG, MCP or AI orchestration frameworks.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes or Azure DevOps.
• Previous experience within manufacturing, industrial or engineering environments.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 Copilot, Claude or other enterprise AI platforms.
