Applications Expert
This role is part of our ET/UT product line. For more information about our product line: The successful candidate will be based in Paris at our offices in Villebon-sur-Yvette. The Applications Expert serves as a key reference for both internal teams and customers, providing in-depth knowledge of products and their applications. This role involves understanding customers' technological needs and collaborating with internal teams to propose effective solutions. The position is primarily focused on UT/PAUT inspection technologies and is intended for someone with hands‑on field experience who has conducted real inspections in industrial environments.
As Applications Expert You Must Be Able To
- Support the sales team during demonstrations, customer visits, and technical calls by presenting product capabilities and answering technical questions.
- Analyze customer needs to recommend standard products or collaborate on custom solutions with the tailored applications team.
- Perform technical feasibility tests to ensure proposed solutions meet customer requirements and performance standards.
- Train customers on the use of products through hands‑on sessions and clear, tailored educational materials.
- Provide post‑sales technical support, including on‑site troubleshooting and communication with customers regarding issues encountered.
- Create technical content in collaboration with the marketing team (blogs, webinars, workshops, etc.) and participate in conferences to promote the company's expertise.
- Manage semi‑custom product projects by coordinating a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality, timelines, and budget compliance.
- Support production by improving technical documentation and ensure effective product transfer to autonomous manufacturing.
- Work closely with R&D for product development and evolution by providing field feedback and conducting application tests.
What Makes You an Asset to Our Team
- College diploma in science or a related field (required); bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field (an asset).
- 8+ years of relevant experience, including demonstrated hands‑on UT inspection experience in the field.
- Proven field experience in UT/PAUT inspection: having performed real inspections in industrial settings is essential for this role.
- Advanced English proficiency, both spoken and written.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to find win‑win solutions in a customer service context.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable working collaboratively within a team.
- Ability to train staff and write clear, concise technical reports.
- Comfortable working under tight deadlines; self‑directed, thorough, and committed to delivering high‑quality work.
- Available for frequent travel, primarily throughout the EMEA & APAC, and internationally as project needs require.
All positions based in Quebec require proficiency in French, both written and spoken. Additionally, functional skills in English are required to meet the needs of our offices and clients internationally.
