Job Description
- Review inquiries from clients and develop process solutions tailored to the application.
- Work with the Sales team to provide budgetary proposals for clients through the completion of internal design tools, templates, and costing forms.
- Budget proposals include cost of labour, materials, purchased items, as well as a rough timeline and technical presentation for customer review.
- Prepare cell layout drawings, cycle time charts, and other process documents as required for proposals.
- Participate in customer RFQ review meetings, either on-site at the customer or in-house.
- Support new business and product development through additional activities such as project management support, site reviews/assessments, data collection and analysis.
- Documenting development processes, procedures, and application version histories.
- Liaise between the other departments for technical assistance in developing concepts and processes and aid in estimating labor and material costs to meet customer requirements.
- Expectation of travel up to 30% of time could be anticipated, however may be exceeded in exceptional circumstances to meet project needs.
- Support other departments during and after kickoff of projects.
Experience And Education
- Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics degree
- 3+ years of experience in an automation engineering environment
- Experience with AutoCAD and Solid Works
- Proficient with MS Office
- Strong technical presentation skills
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to motivate teams to produce quality proposals within tight timeframes, with changing priorities
Wage
$40-$45/hr
