Application Engineer (M/F)

Role & Purpose

The Application Engineer acts as a trusted technical advisor to customers, supporting them across the full lifecycle of Leica Geosystems solutions. Through training, consultancy, and hands‑on service, they deliver expert guidance on surveying and machine control technologies. The role focuses on enabling successful implementation, driving optimal use of solutions, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Deliver training to customers, individually or in groups, on equipment, software, and applications related to the product range
• Provide daily and ongoing technical support to customers
• Participate in training sessions provided by the group
• Carry out commissioning of machine control solutions on construction sites
• Perform technology watch in close collaboration with internal teams

Qualifications & Experience

• Strong willingness to share knowledge and a genuine technical curiosity
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
• Proactive, with the ability to drive projects through to completion and deliver excellent service
• Degree as an Engineer or Technician in surveying, public works, civil engineering, or equivalent experience
• Experience in machine control solutions is a strong asset
