Job Purpose

Provide technical support to customers on application and engineering requirements, working closely with the sales team to penetrate existing markets and identify new opportunities for Chomerics products. The role also assists in developing practical tools and training materials and helps deliver technical seminars (Tech Days) to educate customers and promote product adoption.

Main Duties

• Provides application engineering support for Thermal Interface and EMI Shielding products.
• Provides off-site or on-site technical assistance to customers and distributors.
• Coordinates activities with Customer Services, Field Sales, Operations team, in terms of understanding product specifications, customer’s application and technical requirements.
• Supports the Inside Sales on customers’ incoming technical and applications inquiries (via email/phone/Teams).
• Performs and manages Applications related projects for key customers to support the business growth.
• Works with Sales Managers, potential customers and R&D engineers on New Product Development, assists in communicating with customers, collecting feedback and solving any potential application issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering. Advanced degree is preferred.
• 5+ years’ engineering experience.
• Mechanical (structural) or Electrical design experience in markets such as electronics, telecommunication, automotive, defense (as examples).
• EMI and Thermal material application experience.
• Experience in dispensing systems is a must, in any (or multiples) of the following materials: Thermal Gels, Form-In-Place materials, adhesives, potting materials, or underfills.
• Hands-on experience and knowledge in plastic injection molding, diecasting, CNC machining, and rapid prototyping technologies would be advantageous.
• Knowledge and experience in Product Development Cycle and Processes from concept to manufactured products.
• Product design and development skills, Proficient in operating Engineering CAD software like Auto CAD, Pro-E/CREO, SolidWorks, CATIA.
• PC Proficient (MS Word, Excel, CAD, Teams, Salesforce etc).

Competencies

• Project Management skills and experience with Project Management tools like SAP, IMS, Microsoft Office.
• Must demonstrate effective organizational and verbal/written English communication skills and able to work with a minimum of supervision.
• Be able to present effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ensure high levels of organisation and time management.
