Your Role
As an Application Engineer, you will drive technical pre-sales activities and act as a key interface between customers and internal teams (Design, Test, Industrialization, Production). You will contribute to defining test strategies, ensuring feasibility, and supporting business development efforts. You will report to VP NPI.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze customer RFQs/RFIs to identify technical requirements, timelines, and product needs.
- Engage directly with customers to understand system architectures, test expectations, and production volumes.
- Contribute to NPI proposals, including test strategy, qualification plans, and industrial feasibility.
- Define test environments, equipment needs, and investment requirements (CAPEX, platforms, reusability).
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Design, DFT, Test, Industrialization, Quality, and Supply Chain teams.
- Support Sales in preparing and presenting technical proposals to customers and prospects.
- Contribute to technical marketing materials and customer presentations.
Your Profile
- Master’s degree in Electronics, Microelectronics, Physics, Materials Science, or similar.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in the semiconductor industry (Application Engineering, NPI, Test, DFT, Industrialization, or similar).
- Strong understanding of ASIC development cycles: design, validation, test, qualification, and production.
- Solid knowledge of electronic specifications; experience with RF, optics, analog, high-speed digital, mixed-signal, or secure architectures is a plus.
- Familiarity with ATE systems, probers, and handlers is an advantage.
- Proven experience in customer interaction, RFQ/RFI management, and technical proposal development.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and ability to translate technical needs into business solutions.
- Fluent in English (mandatory); French is a plus.
- Analytical, autonomous, and able to synthesize complex technical information into clear proposals.
Location & Travel

This position can be Hybrid (Flexible Working From Home: FWFH) in consultation with your manager. The position will be based in Caen, France. Occasional travel to our other locations in Europe may be required.
