This role in summary
Whirlpool is currently seeking qualified candidates for an Analyst, Finance. This is an onsite role.
An integral member of the Canada Finance Team supporting the Service Business Unit and after-sales quality related costs. The Finance Analyst will report to the Finance Manager and interact cross-functionally providing support to the Service, Quality and Finance organizations.
Your responsibilities will include
- Full Service P&L management including:Revenue recognition on Services and Extended Warranty Contracts;Cost accounting;Full P&L oversight;Yearly Budget;Monthly Outlooks;Variance analysis
- Support Service business with monthly presentation and ad hoc analysis to enable business partner understanding and drive results, KPIs, and key objectives from a financial perspective.
- Accurate Warranty Standard Cost calculation helping Majors Business Unit to account for the expected cost at time of sale.
- Manage the weekly payment to the 3rd party Service network.
- Management of Warranty Substantiation to meet internal controls and relevant accounting principles and policies (GAAP/SOX) with month-end accrual procedures ensuring accurate balance sheet accruals, appropriate documentation and variance analysis.
- Project Support & Continuous Improvement: Finance is consistently involved in projects to better support our business partners. Every member of the finance team will lead certain aspects of various projects that include but are not limited to volume, mix and pricing analysis, modeling and report creation, and profit plan process improvement.
- Ad hoc projects and analysis as needed
Minimum requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or Data Management
1+ years of experience in Corporate finance or accounting
Preferred skills and experiences
CPA
Demonstrated ability to take initiative, work independently and establish priorities with strong organizational skills
Partner with the business through effective communication and strong analytical skills providing recommendations in decision-making
Advanced knowledge of Google Suite and/or Microsoft Suite (Excel) and SAP
Knowledge of low / no code software for data management such as Alteryx, Tableau and Power BI is an asset
Ability to work with complex databases and extract meaningful information from data connections
Ability to operate under pressure and tight deadlines in a dynamic environment with changing priorities
Experience liaising with Auditors (Internal or External Auditors)The anticipated salary range for this position is $68,400 - $85,500 + Annual Bonus. Final compensation within this range will be determined based on several factors, including the candidate’s relevant skills, professional experience, and specific educational background and certifications.RSRWH
