Analog Power Design Engineer

Location: McLeansville, NC (hybrid remote/on‑site)

Clearance: Active Secret required.

Responsibilities

  • Apply principles and techniques of electrical engineering to develop, test, and implement electrical components, equipment, and systems.
  • Participate in requirements analysis, design, integration, and verification processes, as well as support technical reviews and root cause analysis.
  • Work within defined processes and collaborate with project leaders, program managers, and external clients.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master’s degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Expert-level understanding of electrical engineering computer-aided design (CAD) tools and mixed-signal circuit analysis/design.
  • Solid use of electrical engineering concepts, principles, and theories.
  • Circuit Design expertise.
  • Analog design and instrumentation (design and analysis).
  • Feedback / Control systems experience.
  • Power System architecture and grounding.
  • Strong troubleshooting ability: must be able to diagnose a problem by narrowing the point of failure sequentially through components.
  • The use of specialized laboratory equipment such as spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and other test equipment for development, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience in writing specifications, requirements, and verification procedures for complex electronic systems and components.
  • Ahead of technology trends with Research & Development experience, as well as advanced proficiency in test, troubleshooting, and analyzing circuit card schematics.
  • Motivated to drive innovation around design architectures, assembly, component selection, and electronics design.
  • Exceptional collaboration and communication skills with demonstrated success leading design teams for complex projects.
  • Team player committed to ongoing professional development for self and others.
  • Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

Full-Time Employee Compensation

  • M9 Solutions’ pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include, but are not limited to, responsibilities of the position, education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, as well as internal equity, location, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.

Salary Range

$60,000—$180,000 USD
