Responsibilities
In an outpatient setting, remains accountable for provision of direct care to assigned patients. Contributes to unit activities and supports enhancement of the care delivery system. Works as a team member and assists other staff members with implementing patient care. Assumes responsibility of care for assigned patients under the direction of the co-assigned RN or MD. Participates in the plan of care, implements appropriate nursing interventions, and contributes to patient/family education through collection of data, interdisciplinary team collaboration, documentation and excellent communication.
Full-time position available, days, requires flexible shifts and assignments.
Exciting LPN position available with fast-paced Dermatology practices in the greater Rochester area. Responsibilities include rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, and documenting within the electronic medical record. Additional duties involve patient preparation for surgical interventions, administration of local anesthesia, wound care, pressure dressings, biopsies, excisions, assisting with injections, and supporting laser procedures. The LPN will also assist with topical numbing prior to procedures, eRecord in-basket management, team documentation, and billing workflows. Patient education and collaborative support of physician documentation across multiple dermatologic disciplines (general dermatology, cosmetic dermatology, and surgical dermatology) are essential components of this role.
Applicants are expected to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, demonstrate strong communication skills, and contribute to a team-based approach to providing high-quality care for complex dermatologic patients. Surgery experience is a plus.
