Ailerons and Spoilers Experienced Fatigue and Static Stress Engineer (m/f)

Job Overview

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Fatigue and Static Stress Engineer (f/m) to join our Ailerons and Spoilers Design Office based in Toulouse, France. You will develop wing movable parts, support their manufacturing and in‑service activities for all Airbus Civil Programs, and work with customers and suppliers to design the best ailerons and spoilers for current and next‑generation aircraft.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and validate metallic parts in Fatigue and Damage Tolerance and composite & hybrid structures in Static and associated processes.
• Write and check stress dossiers, reports, justifications, and test programs.
• Define justification approaches and track progress of activities with Technical Authority and Senior engineers.
• Support manufacturing by assessing non‑conformities, and support airlines by responding to in‑service events.
• Work closely with design engineers and interface with all stakeholders, including experts, authorities, engineering teams, and sub‑contractors.

Qualifications

• Master degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in F&D and, ideally, in Stress on composite structures.
• Signature delegation within 2 years of employment is required.
• Good knowledge of Stress Tools (ISAMI, Hypermesh, Nastran, …).
• Knowledge of manufacturing support is a plus.
• IT skills, e.g. Python programming, is a plus.
• Good communication skills.
• Autonomous approach with the ability to react and adapt.
• Intermediate proficiency in English and French.
• Eligible for a security clearance or willingness to obtain clearance.
