AI Research Engineer

We are expanding our AI/ML team to push the boundaries of what’s possible in knowledge-driven presentation tools. We’ve already laid the groundwork with a powerful AI-assisted editor and are now looking for a passionate ML engineer (intern) to join us and help shape the core intelligence of our product.

Summary

• Design, prototype, and evaluate models that enhance how people create and structure ideas
• Work on natural language tasks such as structured-output generation, summarization, or semantic search
• Collaborate closely with the product and engineering teams to bring research into production

Duration: ~6 months. We will prioritize candidates who can join us full time after a successful internship.

Location: Toulouse, France. We love team work in the office (but flexible day-to-day).

About you

• Strong background in machine learning or natural language processing
• Solid Python programming skills, ideally with some exposure to ML libraries (PyTorch, Hugging Face, etc.)
• Curiosity for language models, information retrieval, or knowledge graph systems
• Low-ego, eager to learn, team-oriented, and autonomous

Ideally you have experience in or will to learn:

• Embedding-based search or retrieval augmented generation (RAG)
• Working with large language models (e.g., OpenAI, Claude, open-source LLMs)
• Text summarization, document classification, or chunking strategies
• Evaluating model performance and tuning for real-world use cases
• GitHub projects or research work (if any)
• Small paragraph about you and your motivations

Process

• 30 min introduction interview
• 1h technical interview focused on ML thinking and applied reasoning
