AI research engineer

Overview

At Corma, our mission is to advance a unified and automated IT agentic platform. Our Engineering team designs, develops, and continuously improves features to deliver an exceptional user experience while meeting high technical standards. You will join a dynamic team that includes our CTO, experienced engineers, and interns. We are seeking an AI Research Engineer to drive innovation by understanding new models, the latest papers, and research to help deliver state-of-the-art products. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure AI solutions are reliable, interpretable, and steerable, aligned with industry standards and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Research and Innovation: Stay updated with the latest AI models, papers, and industry trends. Conduct in-depth research to identify and evaluate new AI technologies and methodologies.
• Model Development: Design, develop, and optimize AI models using state-of-the-art techniques and frameworks to drive actionable insights and customer value.
• Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into products and services, ensuring they meet high technical standards and industry best practices.
• Experimentation: Conduct experiments to improve performance and accuracy of AI systems; develop and execute experimental protocols to validate ideas.
• Product Mindset: Translate research findings into practical applications; ensure AI solutions are reliable, interpretable, and steerable, aligned with product goals and customer needs.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent in a STEM field; background in research and laboratory experience.
• Experience in AI engineering and data science with a track record of delivering impactful AI solutions; experience with LAM is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and present results to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience navigating the full MLOps stack, focusing on architecture development, model evaluation, and usage.
• Proficiency in Python; familiarity with MySQL, AWS, and PostHog; ongoing interest in adopting cutting-edge tools to improve efficiency.
