AI Engineer (H/F)

You’ll join the Data & AI team as an AI Engineer to help us design, ship, and operate the ML and AI systems that power our products. You will work end-to-end: from data and modelling to deployment, monitoring, and iteration in production.

You would join at a pivotal moment: the company is actively unifying its products into a coherent learning ecosystem, and that effort is generating strong traction across the U.S. market with a direct impact on millions of learners. Our team contributes to several of the group’s ambitious AI initiatives, including:

• ML infrastructure that will power AI features across the unified Renaissance product suite.
• Speech recognition and evaluation platform tailored to the constraints of educational exercises, capable of automatically measuring students’ reading fluency.
• LLM-based pipelines and product AI (STT, …) to scale the creation and adaptation of pedagogical content.

Qualifications

• Master’s/Engineering degree in Data Science, Machine Learning, or equivalent.
• 2+ years building and shipping AI-powered products, including ML model development, deployment, and integration.
• Strong data science fundamentals: able to train, evaluate, and reason about ML models, including LLM-based systems.
• Solid MLEng and MLOps skills (CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, containerization, monitoring).
• Pragmatic, ship-focused mindset: you prioritise reliable systems over research output.
• Genuine enthusiasm for product, applied AI, and emerging technologies.
• Motivated by EdTech’s potential to impact students and teachers.
• Comfortable navigating in an international team and discussing technical concepts with strong English and French communication skills.
• Based in Paris or ability to come to the office at least 2 days a week.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with speech recognition or audio ML.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with genAI-based applications (RAG, Agentic AI, LLM evaluation frameworks).

• The salary range for this position is €55K to €70K annually.
