AI Driven CTO

Missions

This is a CTO role where the technicality aspect is as important as the structuration and strategization of the product and infrastructure evolution. You hold a pivot role between company strategy and the decisions that make it real and shape/design what the Product becomes in the near future.

You build the evolution of the Infrastructure and Data platform that supports the app used by 30 Million active current users worldwide.

You ensure the data platform captures, structures, and activates users signals at scale, turning raw behavioral data into a strategic asset for product, growth, and AI.

You’ll design the next product pillars and the architecture that makes them ship fast.

You partner with Product to turn bold ideas into scalable systems users love.

You lead a team of 20 (includes Engineers, Principal engineers and Engineering Managers).

You carry critical topics such as Cybersecurity, Anti-fraud and Compliance with strategy.

You embed AI as a concrete transformation lever, in product (recommendations, anti fraud detection) and in how the team works (increasing the share of code written with AI).

You track the impact of every AI initiative and drive adoption to make it a lasting competitive advantage.

Languages: Python, React native.

Infra: AWS (ECS, RDS), BigQuery, etc.

Requirements

• 9+ years of experience, at CTO, Startup Co Founder, Engineering Manager or Principal Engineer level.
• Experience in high-volume B2C and consumer mobile applications ideally (but not necessarily) in the Sports/Fitness/Wellbeing/Running app scene.
• Experience navigating major reorganizations, integrations, and pivotal moments and scaling a startup to the next level (product, staff and revenue).
• Ideally your previous role has involved implementing major AI integrations in the product.
• Must be proficient in backend engineering, with hands on coding skills in Python, React native, AWS (ECS, RDS), BigQuery.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc).
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Passion for building secure and scalable infrastructure for.
• Total Fluency in English (100% of interactions are in English), French is a good plus but not mandatory.
• Contract: Permanent role (on-site/in-person) in Paris or New York (USA).
