Agronomy Research Team Leader, Seed Production

• Lead, coach and develop the skills, motivation and performance of the agronomic research expert team, with particular focus on seed producibility.
• Identify, evaluate and develop innovative agronomic practices, methods and technologies.
• Conduct research projects across multiple crops and environments.
• Transfer research results to production teams and operational protocols.
• Collaborate with seed production specialists, agronomists, breeders and digital phenotyping experts to develop applicable crop protocols.
• Contribute to data integration and analysis to develop sustainable, long-term seed production strategies.
• Identify opportunities for collaboration with external partners and participate in joint research projects.
• Supervise Enza Zaden’s contribution to joint research initiatives.
• Interact with international colleagues and undertake regular business travel.

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of experience in a similar position within the seed industry, including team management.
• PhD or Master’s degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Sciences, Agricultural Engineering, or equivalent; French posting requires a minimum of Bac+5 (Master’s level).
• Proven experience in leading and coaching people, with a focus on individual development.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with emphasis on practical applications and field realities.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex and diverse agronomic projects in seed production, including producibility assessment and operational implementation.
• Experience initiating, preparing and launching projects that introduce new approaches or technologies, including stakeholder management.
• Ability to work with international, multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in French and English.
• Flexibility, resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.
