Acoustic and Vibration Engineer F/M
JOB DESCRIPTION
Within the Environmental and Health Engineering Department, you will be responsible for acoustic and vibratory studies and activities for our industrial European and international projects across sectors such as oil & gas, petrochemical, energy transition, mining, and pharmaceutical industries.
The role involves strong interfaces and communication skills with other project disciplines such as mechanical, structural, architectural, piping, instrumentation, and requires participation in vendor discussions, inspections and performance testing.
- Establishing the noise regulatory limits for the project drawn from the relevant standards applicable to the country / project context
- Modeling of noise limits in the work place, both interior and exterior and also in the wider environment (exterior to the boundary fence)
- Evaluation and proposal of noise reduction methods to ensure compliance of the project to the regulatory requirements in force
- Acoustic insulation study
- The analysis or drafting of scope of works and subsequent follow-up for any acoustic or vibratory studies that may be subcontracted
- Clarification, evaluations and technical comparisons of vendor equipment / acoustic enclosures / other noise or vibration reduction methods
- Support for noise and vibration measurements on site
Engineering degree or equivalent in acoustic engineering, with minimum 5 years of experience in the acoustic field and good knowledge of modeling software (CadnaA, CadnaR, Soundplan) and acoustic/vibration measurement standards. Personal skills include good communication, adaptability, rigor and the ability to work within a project team.
