Accounting Support Associate
Part Time — Administrative position in Huron, OH, US.

The Part time (20-25 hours per week) Accounting Support Associate will provide vital support to the accounting department. This role is responsible for assisting with various accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining financial records. The ideal candidate will be proactive, eager to learn, and comfortable handling a variety of accounting-related duties.
Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable (AP) Data Entry
- Enter vendor invoices into the accounting system accurately and timely
- Verify pricing, quantities, and approval signatures
- Prepare payments (checks, ACH, or wire) according to payment terms
- Maintain vendor records and resolve invoice discrepancies
- Accounts Receivable (AR) Collections
- Monitor outstanding customer balances and aging reports
- Contact customers regarding past-due invoices via email
- Record incoming payments and apply them to the correct invoices
- Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies
- Maintain accurate customer account records
- Purchase Order (PO) Entry
- Create and enter purchase orders based on department requests
- Ensure correct vendor information, pricing, and quantities
- Track PO approvals and maintain purchasing documentation
- Coordinate with receiving and AP to ensure proper invoice matching
- Any and all other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Experience with Accounting software, Microsoft Business Central a plus
- Microsoft Excel experience
- Data entry accuracy
- Excellent communication skills
- Detail oriented with good organization and record management skills
