For our West Europe cluster, we are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager who ensures financial reliability and compliance, and who plays a key role in the further professionalisation of our organisation.

As Accounting Manager Western Europe , you are responsible for accurate, timely and fully compliant financial reporting for all entities within the cluster. You play a crucial role in safeguarding accounting quality, tax compliance, process harmonisation and governance. You work closely with local teams, regional finance, the international shared service centre and the global Miele organisation.

You lead the cluster accounting team and contribute actively to the further development of our financial processes and the implementation of the new operating model within Commercial Finance.

Location: Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg or France

Your key responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Closing

• Operational responsibility for month‑end and year‑end closing of the management P&L, statutory P&L, balance sheet and cash flow.
• Ensure timely, accurate and consistent reporting in accordance with Miele guidelines and local legislation.

Tax, Legal & Transfer Pricing Compliance

• Responsible for all tax‑related activities within the cluster.
• Monitor transfer pricing guidelines and ensure compliance with the Cross Company Matrix Policy (including documentation).
• Coordinate local legal and administrative compliance topics, including intercompany and transfer pricing agreements.

Compliance & Governance

• Act as Compliance Ambassador for the cluster, under the guidance of Miele HQ.
• Ensure internal and external accounting compliance and safeguard proper financial separation of duties.

Process Optimisation & Harmonisation

• Optimise local processes under the functional guidance of the Director Accounting.
• Improve workflows and local legal reporting.
• Support regional finance projects and structural improvement initiatives.

Cash, Credit & Liquidity Management

• Functional responsibility for credit management within the cluster.
• Contribute to prudent cash and liquidity management within the applicable guidelines.

Leadership

• Lead the cluster accounting team, including coaching, development and quality assurance.
• Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing across countries within the cluster and with international stakeholders.

Key Performance Measures

• Cash flow performance of the cluster
• Accuracy and reliability of asset values
• Efficiency of accounting and reporting processes
• Timeliness and accuracy of closing
• No audit findings in the areas of tax & legal
• Active reinforcement of the new operating model within Commercial Finance

What You Bring

Expertise & Education

• Proven knowledge of accounting, tax and legal matters in an international context
• Education in accounting/finance, preferably CFA, CPA, FA or equivalent

Business & Analytical Skills

• Strong business acumen and a commercial mindset
• Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively

International Experience

• Experience working in a multi‑national, multi‑location and multi‑lingual environment, preferably within the Benelux and France
• Comfortable operating within a matrix organisation with diverse stakeholders

Communication & Leadership

• Excellent command of English (written and spoken); fluency in French is a strong asset
• Several years of leadership experience
• Professional, meticulous and collaborative communication style
