Purpose of the role

As part of the Finance Department, you will be responsible for core and operational accounting activities, including general ledger management, reconciliations, taxation, and periodic closing and financial reporting. You will also contribute to budget preparation and financial forecasting and assist with internal controls and audit processes to ensure accuracy, integrity, and smooth financial operation of the company.

Key Responsibilites

Your main responsibility will focus on the following missions

  • Prepare and post journal entries and perform general ledger maintenance to ensure accurate financial records
  • Reconcile and maintain balance sheet and bank accounts; investigate and resolve discrepancies, fee anomalies, and check differences
  • Prepare and analyze account reconciliations and financial data as requested by management
  • Participate in monthly and year-end closing activities, including the preparation of monthly financial statements
  • Contribute to the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in alignment with local general accounting principles (including IFRS), ensuring compliance and timely delivery to stakeholders
  • Administer accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, ensuring timely invoicing, collections, and payments
  • Review, verify, and process expense reports in accordance with company policies
  • Assist with payroll administrations
  • Prepare tax computations and support the filing of tax returns in accordance with applicable regulations
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets, financial forecasts
  • Assist with the preparation, coordination, and support of internal and external audit processes
  • Support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of internal financial controls, policies, and procedures
  • Uphold the highest standards of financial integrity, accuracy, and transparency across all accounting and reporting activities.

Experience & Educational background & Expertise

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, automotive industry experience is highly preferred.
  • Solid knowledge of general accounting principles and financial reporting standards, includingIFRS.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to review, reconcile, and explain financial data.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and commitment to financial integrity.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; strong Excel skills.
  • Proficiency in both French and English, written and orals.
