Please log into Workday and click on Menu or View All Apps, select the Jobs Hub app, then click the magnifying glass to Browse Jobs.Accountant Altorf, FranceThe Accountant is responsible for preparing, maintaining, and analysing financial records for Antech Diagnostics France, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and timely financial information to support business decisions.This role plays a key part in maintaining the integrity of financial data, supporting month‑end and year‑end close activities, and ensuring strong internal controls and compliance with regulatory and corporate reporting requirements. The position works closely with Finance Operations and cross‑functional teams to improve processes, support audits, and deliver accurate financial insight to the organisation.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Manage accounting and financial reporting for the Antech Diagnostics France entity, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strong internal controls
- Prepare journal entries and perform general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations (bank, accruals, prepayments, payroll, benefits, and fixed assets), resolving discrepancies promptly
- Maintain the fixed asset register, monitor capital expenditure, and support month‑end close, including P&L preparation and cost reporting
- Perform variance analysis and ensure accurate recognition of revenues and expenses
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, providing analysis and recommendations to improve processes and efficiency
- Assist with internal and external audits and maintain accounting procedures, documentation, and controls
- Partner with cross‑functional teams to provide financial data, guidance, and continuous process improvements
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP, regulatory requirements, and company policies, and support wider Finance Operations activities as needed
Education And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience
- Previous experience within a Big4 firm or audit environment is advantageous
- FMCG or similar fast‑paced industry experience is a plus
Skills And Competencies
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting principles, and internal controls (US GAAP knowledge preferred)
- Excellent analytical and reconciliation skills with strong attention to detail
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong problem‑solving and process improvement mindset
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, reporting)
- Experience with ERP systems (IFS8 knowledge is an advantage)
- Fluent in English and French (written and spoken)
