Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our Finance team in France. The role combines a solid accounting background, including active participation in the preparation of monthly reporting, VAT returns and statutory compliance, and collaboration with other local and corporate teams.
Responsibilities
- Manage accounting and corporate compliance for French entities, including collection and processing of accounting documents, reviewing external/internal work, and performing month‑end and year‑end general ledger postings.
- Oversee day‑to‑day bookkeeping activities: bank reconciliations, vendor accounts, purchase orders, job costing, capex accounting, and fixed‑asset register.
- Process invoices and ensure compliance with Group P2P policies (booking of G&A invoices, approval of Building PM invoices).
- Prepare, review, and manage filing of annual statutory accounts with external Chartered Surveyor Firm and statutory auditor; coordinate AGM with Legal advisor.
- Continuously assess and improve financial processes to increase accuracy, efficiency, and automation.
- Handle all French tax compliance (CIT, VAT, CVAE, DAS2, IFU, CFE, VAT refund claims, audits, and register/deregister actions).
- Collaborate with Asset Management, Property Management, Treasury Corporate, and Tax Corporate teams; act as finance business partner.
- Support post‑acquisition integration and disposal accounting and reporting.
- Participate in ad‑hoc projects and new system implementations; assist with testing and rollout.
- Support internal and group external audits by liaising with finance controlling team.
Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting (Master’s level or equivalent).
- Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally with real‑estate industry exposure.
- In‑depth knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and best practices.
- Experience with ERP systems (Yardi preferred).
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
- Languages: French native or bilingual; English very good professional working knowledge.
- Team‑player, process‑oriented, structured, detail‑focused, strong ownership, ability to work independently in a complex multi‑entity environment.
