Account Manager - Automotive (f/m/d)

Overview

Renesas is looking for an experienced Account Manager – Automotive (f/m/d) based out of our Paris (Vélizy) office in France. The role focuses on developing sales and design‑in objectives at target accounts within the automotive semiconductor industry, coordinating global account resources to optimize alignment with the customer and drive revenue growth.

Responsibilities

• Create sales strategies to penetrate targeted application areas.
• Convince customers of Renesas solutions through complex evaluation processes.
• Achieve tangible design win/win results, keep account profiles updated, and deliver technical presentations to customers.
• Set account design‑in and revenue goals.
• Develop and execute detailed sales strategies that drive revenue growth.
• Increase the number of new opportunities and drive design‑wins for Renesas.
• Forecast revenue and design‑ins.
• Cooperate with other departments and regions to support account activities.
• Establish contacts at every department and level of the customer organization.
• Drive relationships between top management.
• Report on business development progress against targets, as well as mid‑term account revenue forecasts.
• Develop, execute, and review account strategy with management.

Qualifications

• Engineering university degree – preferably in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in the automotive industry with a good understanding of automotive requirements.
• Ability to develop an account strategy with clear targets aligned with Renesas strategy and plan a course of action with constant progress checks.
• Knowledge of the semiconductor automotive segment, key customers, and their applications is preferred.
• Knowledge or past selling experience with MCUs and SoCs is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with customers, internal organization, and management.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Agile with all required IT systems.
• Fluent in French and English.
• Sense of humor.
