About the Role

We’re looking for an Account Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of accounts across the UK and Europe, covering our Risk.net, WatersTechnology and FX Markets brands. A full book of renewal business will be provided, with clear growth targets attached.

The primary focus of the role will be driving revenue growth and mitigating churn across the account base through strong relationship management, proactive client engagement, and consistent commercial activity. You will be expected to identify opportunities to expand existing relationships by increasing platform adoption across additional users, teams, and regions, while also supporting new business growth through proactive prospecting and outreach.

This role is ideally suited to an ambitious and commercially driven sales professional looking to develop within a high-performance environment. Success in the role will come from building trusted client relationships, understanding customer challenges, and positioning the value of our products in a clear and consultative way.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Renewals, Retention & Revenue: Ensure contract renewals and prevent churn by providing value and maintaining client satisfaction whilst driving price and increasing client spend.
  • Support new logo acquisition through proactive prospecting and outreach.
  • Building and Maintaining Relationships: Serve as the main point of contact for clients, fostering trust and long‑term relationships.
  • Understanding Client Needs: Actively listen to clients to understand their goals, challenges, and needs, ensuring that the company provides solutions aligned with those needs.
  • Upselling and Cross‑Selling: Identify opportunities to introduce additional products or services that would benefit the client.
  • Stay informed about the financial markets to spot trends, look for new opportunities and establish credibility with our customers by understanding their business.
  • Ensure a high level of customer service which will involve training clients on how to best use our products.
  • Managing and maintaining monthly and quarterly pipeline and keeping detailed records of client correspondence on internal CRM system.
  • Attending industry events and visiting clients will be required, as well as potential travel for face‑to‑face meetings, when appropriate.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of successful proactive business development, Account Management or lead generation/enablement.
  • Experience in direct Account Management, including growing high value, complex 6 figure accounts and a successful track record of hitting targeted price increases at the point of renewal.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communicational skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with C‑level executives and key stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen with an in depth understanding of enterprise business challenges and procurement.
  • Strong understanding of account planning, customer life cycle management and value‑based selling.
  • Highly motivated, proactive, with an entrepreneurial mindset and passion for success.
  • A fast learner, with a mindset of overachieving.
  • Must live within commutable distance of our London office and commit to being in at least 3 days a week.
  • An understanding of financial concepts and principles as they relate to clients’ needs is a strong plus.
  • Additional language is a bonus, but not a requirement.
