Account Executive (Transport industry)
About the Role
We’re expanding our Sales team in France and are looking for a full‑stack Sales person to engage with prospects and turn them into happy Alan customers. The focus is the Transport industry – road freight, warehousing, last‑mile delivery, and express services – representing about 1.2 M employees across 220 000+ companies.
What You’ll Do
You’ll own the entire sales cycle, from prospecting to closing. The average sales cycle is 6 months, dealing with companies ranging from 30 to 300 employees, with an average ARR of €150 k. You’ll educate prospects, provide product demos, and onboard key stakeholders to ensure a seamless transition from prospect to customer. The role also requires you to help us grow and improve by challenging current processes and contributing to initiatives to expand our customer base.
Responsibilities
- Drive deals and close strategic opportunities with prospects.
- Educate prospects, provide demos, and manage the onboarding process.
- Apply the Alan Smart & Soft selling method to deliver a pleasant customer experience.
- Support product and strategy improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- At least 4 years of experience managing the entire sales cycle, with prospecting as a core activity.
- Full‑working proficiency in French (C2+) and advanced English.
- Highly organized with exceptional follow‑up skills.
- Empathy and passion for solving prospects' problems.
- Proficiency in influencing through persuasion, negotiation and consensus‑building.
- Deep understanding of value drivers in recurring revenue business models.
- Team‑collaboration skills and a positive attitude.
- Fast learner with the ability to make an impact from day 1.
- Based in or willing to relocate to: Paris, Bordeaux, Marseille, Lyon, Annecy, Nantes or Biarritz.
