Account Executive, Mid-market, Italy - Sales
We're a product-first team on a mission to help grow the cybersecurity culture. We want to instill cybersecurity good practices to employees in a way that's actually effective, and entertaining enough so that employees don't feel like they're working. Think Duolingo but for cybersecurity.
We created a platform to easily rollout a cybersecurity awareness program: the platform sends chat-based 4‑minute long courses to teams. After the courses, the platform simulates phishing attacks to prepare employees for real hackers in a safe environment. Created in 2020, Riot has raised $45m with top‑notch investors (Y Combinator, Base10, Funders Club and Frst Capital), and is now protecting more than 2,000,000 employees in over 2,000 companies worldwide.
About The Job
The Mid‑market team is a key pillar of Riot. It is the first market to be launched, demonstrating strong scalability and growth through a seasoned sales methodology and a mature product. We target companies with 10–200 FTEs, a 12k€ / year ACV and an average sales cycle of 95 days. Notable logos include Electra, Blablacar, Deezer and Devialet. As one of our first Account Executives for Italy, you’ll play a key role in launching our go‑to‑market in the country, driving full‑cycle sales from outbound prospecting to closing, and helping refine our local strategy.
What You Will Do
- Generate leads: maintain your pipeline through cold calls, mail and LinkedIn.
- Engage qualified prospects: build and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle.
- Close deals: demo the platform, provide technical assistance, navigate a proof of concept, and negotiate contracts.
- Collaborate with the Customer Success team to ensure smooth post‑sale execution.
- Act as the local voice of the customer and help shape our product and positioning for the market.
Who You Are
- At least 2–3 years of B2B experience, including a BDR (outbound) and an AE full‑cycle position.
- Comfortable with full‑stack prospecting.
- Experience selling to CSOs, CIOs or other C‑level roles.
- Motivated by the mission, even if not an expert in cybersecurity.
- Full professional proficiency in English and native in Italian.
- Based in Paris or willing to relocate.

This range indicates the total package with around 50% base salary and 50% on commissions (uncapped). We also provide a competitive stock package.
